Any exercise can be challenging to begin and continue, so I've decided to create a 30 day challenge in building this habit. If you are wondering "why 30 days", you may want to refer to the posts by Leo Babauta, "7 Little Habits That Can Change Your Life, and How to Form Them".
Tomorrow will be the first day of my 30 day challenge with spinning class.
I am hoping that after the 30 days, spinning will form as a habit and will be part of my weekly routine.
Most fitness facilities offer spinning/cycle class. My gym offers this class on different time slots throughout the week. I find it more rewarding to go in the morning, right after I wake up and before work.
The morning classes consits of Mon, Wed, Fri at 5:45am and Sat, Sun at 9:15am.
Tomorrow, Monday, April 23rd will be the first day of my 30 day challenge.
I would go to my morning spinning class a few times a week prior and sometimes on Saturdays. The difference now is that I am setting it out as a goal to go on those specific days and times and to form a habit out of doing it; which is a lot different from going when I felt like going. I'm sure there will be times when I won't feel like going but I will motivate myself to stick to my goal.
